Our client is looking for a Head Housekeeper to oversee the smooth running of their department which covers the hotels 65 bedrooms, public areas and leisure facilities at this Prestigious family-owned 4 Star Hotel in the South of Devon.

The Role:

As Head Housekeeper you will manage a team of up to 14 staff, have a very keen eye for detail and relevant experience to ensure that the cleaning standards are at the highest level. You will ensure that your team are well trained, developed and motivated.

The hotel has an excellent percentage of repeat guests and building relationships with customers is key to the success of the hotel and role.

Your Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Head Housekeeper in a luxury 4- or 5-star environment
• A hands-on management style that leads by example
• Be motivated, driven and passionate about the hospitality industry
• Ability to multi-task and exceptional time management skills
• The ability to recruit, train and develop you team with regular sessions and succession plans
• Understanding in how to manage costs and payroll budgets and the ability to meet set KPIs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be approachable and engaging both for our staff and guests
• Understand current Health and Safety requirements
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers
