We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and talented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team of our client’s renowned high-end restaurant. 

This award-winning establishment is famous for its steak counter, featuring locally sourced Bedfordshire Beef, as well as an exquisite à la carte menu inspired by classic culinary traditions reimagined with a modern twist. Situated within a 16-bedroom en-suite hotel, the restaurant has recently expanded with the addition of a stunning Garden Room, offering 40 additional covers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in ensuring all departments and staff strictly adhere to health & safety, food hygiene, and alcohol licensing regulations.
  • Maintain a smooth and efficient service, ensuring that food quality and presentation consistently meet the highest standards.
  • Manage reservations and effectively communicate bookings with the team.
  • Assist in building and leading a highly efficient team, helping them achieve the restaurant's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure a seamless flow of service and maintain exceptional standards throughout.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive team environment through exceptional support, training, and communication.
  • Monitor and maintain the restaurant’s agreed operational standards at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management and inform the Manager when supplies need replenishing.

  • Salary: £15.50 per hour (£32,240 - £36,270) based on a 40-45 hour workweek
  • Tips: Share of tips, averaging up to £4.5k annually (£90 weekly)

  • Christmas Closure: Enjoy time off during the festive season, with the restaurant closed from Christmas Day through the first week of January
